About LakBai
Who we are and what we stand for: LakBai is a carpooling platform focused on practical, community-first mobility.
We’re Filipino commuters, too. Every day we face the same choices: pay a lot for a private ride, take options that don’t feel safe, or endure long lines on public transportation only to be packed like sardines, and all of the options lead to being stuck in traffic, just at varying comfort levels.
We first built LakBai with passengers in mind, but we noticed that drivers are struggling, too, just differently, often alone in the car, shouldering increasing gas costs and expensive toll fees by themselves.
With LakBai, passengers affordably and efficiently get a seat on a trip already going their way, and drivers share the cost of a ride they’re taking anyway. A win for all, with fewer empty seats on the road and a smaller carbon footprint.
