For Passengers
Find a planned trip going your way, request a seat, and share the cost.
How it works for Passengers
Enter your meet-up area, destination, date, and seats. The app filters trips and shows ones that match your criteria.
Pick a trip from the results, request a seat, and wait for the driver to accept. You’ll get updates in the app.
Meet at the agreed place, confirm the car and driver, travel together, and share the cost.
How do I find a ride?
Profile > Switch to Passenger, click Rides Tab, and search by where you’re meeting, where you’re going, and when.
Pick a trip you like, request a seat, and wait for the driver to accept. You’ll get updates in the app.
Since it is a prescheduled booking, how early or advance can I book?
For trips less than 50km, Passengers may book as early as 36 hours from the departure time or late as 2 hours from the departure time.
How much will I pay?
You’ll see the estimated cost in the app before you confirm. Because the cost is shared, it’s often cheaper than booking a private ride alone.
Is it cheaper than the existing ride-hailing apps?
Because we are not a transportation app, it can definitely be cheaper, but the maximum savings depend on how many participants are in the trip. Share the trip or the app for better savings.
Why is it cheaper, and is that okay?
It’s cheaper because you are not paying for a driver or the licenses that come with for-hire services.
LakBai is for private carpooling, everyday commuters going the same way.
What if I want to get off in between the declared meet-up and drop-off location?
If this is because you feel unsafe, you can do so and proceed to report it to us and the authorities. However, this is not allowed for any other reason. We are a strict point-to-point carpooling platform.
How do I know it’s the right car?
Check the driver’s name and car details in the app before you get in, including the plate number.
If something doesn’t look right, don’t get in. Message through the app or reach us from Help.
Can I bring a friend or luggage?
Yes. You can book for yourself and bring one companion, but you cannot book for other people without you. Your companion must also be listed and provide an ID for verification.
What about toll fees?
Drivers are required to declare if they will go through toll gates, and you can choose to filter them out.
Toll fees are paid in cash and equally split among all participants, including the driver.
What if I need to cancel?
Refer to the Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy for free windows, late fees, and driver reimbursement rules.
